About On-site Seated Massage Therapy

Most office-related physical symptoms can be attributed to loss of circulation. Tight muscles caused by stress and sitting behind a desk all day, especially at a work station that is not ergonomically designed to fit the individual, can impede blood and lymph flow through the body. In addition, many office workers perform the same small task many times every day, leading to additional strain.

The result is mental fogginess, headaches, decreased energy and susceptibility to repetitive stress injuries, like carpal tunnel syndrome and thoracic outlet syndrome.

Seated massage counters the circulatory problems inherent with office work and provides an appreciated break for employees. Sitting in a specially designed massage chair allows the massage therapist to work on the back, neck, shoulders, arms and hands, addressing common tension areas of today's workers. It also relieves strain on the neck and provides respite for eyes usually focused on a computer monitor.

Even 15 minutes of massage to the neck, back, arms and hands can increase circulation and energy levels, lower stress, reduce discomfort, and help reduce work-related injury.

Because no oil is used and the worker is fully clothed, no change in attire is necessary, and it does not require a private room.

General rates: first hour $85, each additional hour $70 (2 hour minimum). Rates may vary based upon location. No charge for certain recognized charity fundraisers. For details, please call Eugene Moyers at 503-330-7948.
